Aromatherapy Oil Treatments Were Popular in Europe in the Last Century.
The greatest achievement of the Romans was spreading their knowledge of aromatic plants across Europe. In 1950, London-based skincare expert Marguerite Maury pioneered the integration of aromatherapy with facial and body massage techniques, along with her unique spinal massage method. She selected essential oils based on patients' psychological needs and symptoms.
From the 1970s to the present, the extraction of natural oils from plants for application on the skin has become a widely recognized fundamental practice in both the scientific and medical communities. These oils not only possess natural antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and skin-softening properties but also nourish and regulate the skin, promoting a healthier skin microbiome.
